Spring 2011 Service Quilts

A parade of beautiful quilts made for nursing home patients, specifically wheelchair bound. We added the Battle Creek VA Hospital as one of our recipients after receiving a donation of fabric to be used for military personnel.

Holiday Service - 2010

At our December Holiday party, we have entertainment during dinner. But the highlight of the evening are all the quilt-wrapped stuffed animals (Luvee's) that the members donate.

This year we donated 410 luvees to be divided between our four organizations, Sylvia's Place in Allegan, Kalamazoo Gospel Mission, Child Protective Services of Kalamazoo County and new this year, Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. Each of the recipient agencies was represented and those individuals spoke on behalf of their agencies about what these donations will mean to them. Lots of children in crisis will benefit from the comfort of a luvee.
